Access to the Bricks & Mortar Library Collection is by Appointment ONLY through August 13! Access to the Online Collection is 24/7/365!

The library staff amasses a rich array of materials from a range of theological perspectives, facilitates their discovery, and delivers them to you. There is an amazing abundance awaiting you! The library is bricks, mortar, and beyond. It exists as a physical space on the Andover Newton campus and as an online repository of scholarly resources accessible 24/7/365.  

The Library Catalog provides access to print and electronic books.

Online Library

Trask Library subscribes to proprietary databases targeted to seminarians and their research needs.  Members of the Andover Newton community can get theological articles in journals and magazines, e-books, and e-reference materials that are NOT available on the free internet and NOT accessible through search engines like Google or Bing. When you are off-campus, you will be asked for a username and password.  These can be obtained by calling, emailing or visiting the library.

Our Mission

The primary mission of the library is to serve the students, faculty and staff of Andover Newton Theological School.  The library also serves ANTS Alumni/ae, and ministers in the vicinity as Special Borrowers. Members of the general public are welcome to visit. As members of the Boston Theological Institute, students and faculty from other members schools have access to the library, and students and faculty from Andover Newton enjoy borrowing privleges at other member schools
