Upcoming Hurricane Relief Fundraiser - January 14

The First Baptist Church of Littleton is hosting a Texas Barbecue and a
night of Jazz & Blues music for their return Hurricane Relief trip in
April. On Saturday January 14, 2006 at 5:30 PM, A Texas Barbecue and a
Night of Jazz & Blues will be held at the First Baptist Church of
Littleton on the Common. The meal will include barbecued chicken,
ribs, coleslaw, beans, potato salad, rolls & apple crisp to be served
beginning at 5:30 PM. Following the dinner the concert will begin at
7:00 PM with soul searing jazz by pianist Geoffrey Dana Hicks and some
spirit filled notes by blues guitarist Ronnie Earl.

Geoff Hicks is a pianist, composer, performer, lecturer, recording
artist, arranger and conductor; and a musician who "can swing a crowded
room into a state of bliss" said John Robinson of the Boston Globe. The
legendary B. B. King said of Ronnie Earl ".he is one of the most serious
blues guitarists you can find today. He makes me proud!" The opening
band will be FBC's own For Higher who will tell the Johnson Bayou story.
This is a fundraiser for the return trip to Johnson Bayou, Louisiana
