Driving on the Quadrangle
----------------------------------------
A plea:

I realize that all the construction at the end of the quadrangle creates confusion and frustration. I apologize for that.

However, I want to plead with all of you not to let these problems cause you to take a short cut to drive your car across the quadrangle. Besides creating muddy ruts and killing grass, you are taking a risk that could cause you harm and the school a great deal of money. There are service tunnels running under the quadrangle (for heat and utilities) which could collapse under the weight of a car or truck.

It won't be much longer. Please be patient.

Thanks.

N.

Accessing Your ANTS E-mail
--------------------------------------
Please note that for accessing your email through a web browser, the only URL you should use is

https://webmail.ants.edu . There was an older URL several years ago that was

http://groupwise.ants.edu , but that URL is no longer supported from off of campus.

For those interested, we will be adding both POP3 and IMAP4 support for accessing your mail starting in the Spring. This will allow you to access your ants email from such programs as hotmail, macmail, outlook and many others. Details will follow in the Spring.

Thank You,

Brian Eastman

WRITING TUTOR on campus Tuesdays in January
--------------------------------------
Just a reminder that I'll be on campus from 10 to 3 on Tuesdays Jan 9, 16, 23 (and maybe 30). Please feel free to drop in--or make an appointment. If you won't be on campus, but we've already met, feel free to email me with questions about a draft you're working on.

In February, I plan to be on campus on Tuesdays 10 to 3, and either Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. I'll be setting up another writing group (or 2)--email me for details.

Once again, I'm happy to work with any ANTS student, on any issue. If you made a resolution about writing better (or enjoying it more!) now's the time to take action!

Prof. Matthew Myer Boulton

In this hands on workshop, we will examine the great scriptural passages, hymns, and spiritual songs of Lent, all with an eye toward renewing Lenten worship life in the church today. Participants will deepen their theological understanding of the Lenten season, explore new worship and musical ideas and resources, and leave the workshop with a personalized preaching and music schedule from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday. Perfect for clergy, music directors, and lay leaders of all ages. Come ready to sing (or just to listen), and to clarify how this year's season of Lent can renew our life together.

Matthew Myer Boulton is Assistant Professor of Worship and Preaching at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, MA, and Associate Pastor and Music Director of Hope Church in Jamaica Plain, MA (www.hopeboston.org).
