Transition in the Library - and Reception for Sharon Taylor
------------------------------------------------
As you all know from an earlier communication, our Librarian, Sharon Taylor, has resigned her position as Librarian of the Franklin Trask Library to assume the position of Librarian at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. We have planned a farewell reception for Sharon on Monday, February 5th in the Peck Room from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Be sure to be there to express your appreciation for Sharon's years of service to Andover Newton.

Who will serve as Librarian after Sharon leaves? The answer is that Diana Yount and Jeff Brigham will be serving as Interim Librarians. Both have extensive experience serving in library staff positions, and each one has also served in the role of an interim librarian. Both bring years of experience to these positions. Sharon has been working with Diana and Jeff to insure a smooth transition. Knowing how dedicated and competent Diana and Jeff are, I am confident that we will continue to maintain the same high quality of service for which the Library is known.

Diana Yount and Jeff Brigham will assume their new roles as Interim Librarians beginning February 1st. No later than next week, Diana and Jeff will circulate a memo to the community to explain how they will share their new roles as interim librarians.

It is good to know, as we bid farewell to Sharon, that the Library will be in such capable hands and will continue to serve the needs of this community.

William R. Herzog II
Dean of the Faculty
