ANTS Connect System Offline on Sept. 29th
------------------------
The Connect system at ANTS http://connect.ants.edu will be down from
aprox. 12PM-10PM this Saturday September 29th. This outage is due to
system
upgrades. ANTS webmail will continue to work during this time period.

Thank You,
IT Staff

------------------------
Minimum Payment for fall
------------------------
Students who register for the fall term must have paid (and/or have had
credited to their student accounts from student loans, ANTS financial
aid, or outside aid) at least 25% of their total charges for fall, by
September 28, 2007, or they will risk being dropped from their fall
courses. Resident students who fail to meet the 25% requirement may also
lose their privilege to stay in ANTS housing. Please contact Peter
Gibson in the Business Office (617 964 1100 x218; pgibson@ants.edu) if
you have questions about the amount you owe on your bill for fall.

------------------------
CPE Fair
------------------------
CPE Fair: On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, ANTS will host a CPE Fair in
the Peck Room from 11:00am -1:00pm. Supervisors form all over New
England will be present to share information about their programs and to
meet with students. They will offer a short program to explain the
benefits, requirements and educational process of Clinical Pastoral
Education. Now is the time to begin making plans for 2008 summer and
2007-08 extended units. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more
about this exciting and challenging aspect of your theological
education. For those who cannot make the morning time, the CPE Fair
will also be offered later in the afternoon at the Episcopal Divinity
School: 99 Brattle Street, Cambridge.

------------------------
Lisa Durkee Abbott's Ordination
------------------------
Having been called to serve as pastor and teacher of the First
Congregational Church of West Brookfield, MA, United Church of Christ,
Lisa Durkee Abbott will be ordained on October 21st. The service will
be held at her home church in Gardner, MA, 28 Green Street, at 4:00 p.m.
that Sunday, with a reception to follow. You are all invited!! If you
would let me know if you are planning to come, it would be great, so
that I can let the dear folks in Gardner know how much food to prepare.
If you aren't able to plan, but find yourself able to make the trip,
please come anyway! It takes just a bit over an hour from ANTS, and is
only a mile or so from Rte. 2--an easy trip! Oh, and please wear red!

Upcoming ANTS UU worship services

Dear friends,

The ANTS UU student worship services are held each Thursday at 1:00pm
in Wilson Chapel. Everyone is welcome. Nancy Banks will lead this
week's service on the theme of marriage equality and "Moving Beyond
the Soup Kitchen". Come and join with your colleagues for a peaceful
hour, to feed your spirit and refresh your mind!

Here is our current schedule for the fall semester:

* Sept 27 - Nancy Banks
* Oct 4 - Tim House
* Oct 11 - Julianna Donofrio
* Oct 18 - (open)
* Oct 25 - Christina Sillari
* Nov 1, 8, 15, 29: (open)
* Dec 6, 13, 20: (open)

As you can see, there are plenty of open dates available starting in
mid-October. Would you consider preaching or leading a service? Here
is a golden opportunity to get some practice, to try out new worship
ideas, and deepen fellowship. We also invite worship leaders from the
faculty, and from the greater UU community outside ANTS, to
participate in these services. Please let us know if there's somebody
you'd like to bring in to preach.

Blessings,
From your worship coordinators:
Cathy French (cmfrench@juno.com)
Bruce Taylor (bruce.c.taylor@verizon.net)

Potluck Dinner Baby Shower for Nicole and Dusty Keeton-Williams
----------------------
To All ANTS Students,

Many of you may or may not be aware of the fact that there will soon be
a
new baby on Campus.

Nicole and Dusty Keeton-Williams are expecting their first child to be
born
in the next month or so and Nicole has been restricted to minimal
activity
until the baby is born. The folks down here at Herrick House thought
that
it might be a nice idea to have a Potluck Baby Shower for them.
Although
Dusty already knows that I am sending this out, Nicole will not.

She is registered at Target and BabiesRUs and the links are here:

We will be throwing Nicole and Dusty a baby shower on October 9th at
5:00pm
in the Student Lounge in Upper Noyes. If you would like to come early
to
help decorate and setup food and drinks, that would be nice.

Peace,
Kurt
