This Thursday's Spiritual Journey to feature Rev. Vicki Weinstein
------------------------
his Thursday's Spiritual Journey to feature Rev. Vicki Weinstein

This Thursday, October 18th, at 4:30PM, the next program in the series,
Spiritual Journeys, will be held at President Carter's home. The
featured guest will be Rev. Victoria Weinstien, adjunct faculty member
in worship, ANTS D Min student, and Minister of the First Parish
Unitarian Church in Norwell MA. The program is open to all guests and
lasts about an hour.

A life-long Unitarian Universalist, Victoria Weinstein was a high
school English and drama teacher and working actress before beginning
her seminary studies in 1994. In the summer of 1993, she was awarded a
grant from the National Endowments for the Humanities to study the
American Transcendentalists with Professor David Robinson of Oregon
State University.
In 1997, Victoria won a Feminist Theology Award from the Unitarian
Universalist Women's Federation for her work, "She Is Risen:
Reclaiming the Myth of Persephone as a Resurrection Narrative for
Women." She has lectured widely on the myth of Persephone and its
application for pastoral care to women, and published a
Persephone-themed worship service in Celebrating Easter and Spring,
published by Anne Miniver Press.

Victoria's other areas of special interest are Jungian archetypal
psychology and the late medieval witch hunts in Europe. She has received
training in dream work and in spiritual direction.

Victoria has happily served as the minister of First Parish Unitarian
Church in Norwell since 2002.
