Lisa Kemper Ordination

Members and friends of the ANTS community are cordially invited to celebrate the ordination of Elizabeth Michele Kemper (MDiv '07) into the Unitarian Universalist ministry. The service will be held at First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist in Northborough, MA at ten o'clock in the morning, Saturday, June 7, 2008. The offering will be shared between the Religious Institute for Sexual Morality, Justice & Healing, (www.religiousinstitute.org)and the UUA's Living Tradition Fund.All are welcome.

Carol Allman-Morton Ordination

Members and Friends of the ANTS community are cordially invited to the ordination of ANTS alum Carol Allman-Morton, M.Div. ('05) to the Unitarian Universalist Ministry. This service is offered jointly by Old Ship Church, First Parish in Hingham, MA and the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield, MA. The service will be held June 22, 2008 at 3 p.m., Old Ship Meetinghouse, 90 Main Street, Hingham, MA. Clergy and seminarians are invited to robe and process and should gather at 2:30 p.m. in the Parish House Parlor. A reception will follow the service in the Parish House. Following the reception there will be lawn games outside and a potluck dinner in the Allman-Morton tradition (there will be Kubb). If you are staying for dinner, please bring something to share. Many of you know that Evn Tomeny will be leaving us to pursue further education. He has been a wonderful member of the staff and the community at large and will be greatly missed. Please join Evn on Thursday June 12th at 2:00 PM for a going away party in the business office.

Andover Newton Dumpsters
------------------------
'Tis the season to be cleaning out rooms and packing up for the summer. Please remember that only trash may be thrown into Andover Newton dumpsters. No furniture, bicycles, or electronics--especially items like computer monitors, which contain hazardous materials--should be thrown into the dumpsters. Our trash removal company will not empty dumpsters into which non-authorized items have been thrown. If you have any questions about what is allowed in the dumpsters, please contact your Resident Representative or Amelia O'Dowd in the Housing Office (ext. 261).

New Employee in Information Technology

Today Shaun Gould started working as a staff member in the Information Technology department. Shaun will be replacing Evn Tomeny and will be in charge of ANTS Connect and the Helpdesk at ANTS.

Summer & AY09 Resident Representatives Announced
------------------------
This summer Kurt Walker (Herrick) and Liz Miller (Appleton Chase) will be serving as the summer Resident Representatives on the campus. Next fall Resident Representatives will be: Carol and Len Hayward, Fuller; Jeremiah Rood, Kendall; Liz Miller, Appleton Chase; Kurt Walker, Herrick; and Andy Edwards and Sharon Houlahan, Farwell.

Gardens at ANTS

Gardening is underway....others welcome!!

The "soil" in our garden plot across the road from the southeast end of Davis Hall is turned. There are many small rocks, so root crops are probably not the best choice this year. Also we will want to remove some of the remaining roots to make room for veggies. Being the first year this has been cultivated in many years it requires some persistence to prepare the soil. All have agreed to garden organically....no chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Twelve plots have been marked off with a small (about 1 foot) path between plots. Eight plots are already claimed. The remaining four plots are open, first come, first served.....but you must check in with us to see which are the ones still available. We have tools that were purchased by the SA in previous years.
