Summer Pastor Position

THIRD CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
ALSTEAD, NEW HAMPSHIRE
THREE MONTH POSITION

Third Congregational Church, Alstead, NH has an opening for a minister or theological student from May 21-August 13th, 2007. Gain experience in southwest NH's beautiful Connecticut River Valley. The position requires about 28 hours per week including, Sunday worship and coffee hour, preparation, visitation, newsletter, bible study and meetings. The individual will also coordinate a one week vacation bible school for up to sixty children.

Third Congregational Church has 130 members with a typical Sunday seating 55 adults and 12 children. Being the only church in Alstead we minister to the wider community.
Alstead is recovering from a devastating flood in 2005 where 29 homes were lost. This is a wonderful caring community. We are willing to give a seminary student some practical experience while Reverend Janice Howe is away on sabbatical. Salary, benefits and housing is available.
