Associate Pastor

Youth Ministry (50%): Develop and facilitate an effective Youth
Ministry Program; Build relationships with youth and their families,
e.g. through home meals, school activities, and community involvement;
Share the gospel with students through hospitality and creative forms of
ministry, e.g. mission trips, retreats, or lock-ins; Coordinate weekly
meetings and/or Bible Studies for middle school and high school
students; Engage youth in local mission work; Communicate with parents
regularly.

Worship and Preaching (30%): Preaching 12 to 20 times annually;
Worship leadership and participation weekly; Participation in weekly
staff meetings.

Pastoral Care (20%): Weekly Visitation; Work with the Christian Care
and Nurture Committee to coordinate Pastoral Care ministries.

We seek the following in our new Associate Pastor: Commitment to
Christ and love of God, love and respect of youth, inspirational worship
leadership, excellent preaching skills, appreciation of liturgy and
lectionary, maturity, energy and creativity, organizational skills,
strong oral and written communication, engagement and warmth, strong
listening skills, ability to coordinate caring ministries, and a sense
of humor.
