Opening for Full Time Pastoral Staff Addition

The First Congregational Church of Mansfield, Ohio, is seeking a recent
seminary graduate to join our pastoral staff full-time. The successful
candidate will participate in a well-rounded ministry with a
theologically diverse and open congregation of 800 plus members. Areas
of focus shall include youth development, leadership in the worship
service, preaching, pastoral care, and service as staff liaison to
various church boards. Other duties shall be considered as they relate
to the strengths exhibited by the individual selected for this position.

This position is unique in that it will allow an individual to grow
professionally under the direct supervision of a young, progressive
Senior Minister, as well as, engage in mentoring experiences with our
Minister Emeritus who led our church for 45 years.

Our church is gathered around a covenant identifying us as a fellowship
of individuals who come together for Christian worship, mutual
understanding and spiritual enrichment. The result is a Christian
community where doctrines are not mandated, a congregation that takes
faith seriously without taking itself too seriously, and a place where
more often than not, laughter is the medicine of first choice!

We are located in a community of 100,000 plus with a variety of
institutions of higher learning including a local campus of The Ohio
State University. In addition, we have a broad offering of cultural and
recreational activities, e.g.: symphony chorus, orchestra, art center,
ski resort, auto/cycle racing venues and state parks. Our location
provides a short commute to anywhere in the city and easy access to both
Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.

Salary will be commensurate to both training and experience.
