Channing Unitarian Universalist Church, located in Rockland, MA
seeks a part-time DRE to lead our Religious Education Program.

As part of a 60 member congregation, our well established, vibrant and interactive program has consistently grown. The RE program is strongly supported by the minister and parents. This is a 12.5 hours per week position
that begins in August 2007, continuing through June 2008

The individual hired will be responsible for:

* Administering the RE program for children and youth
* Curriculum review, planning and development
* Children's Chapel and Intergenerational worship services
* Volunteer recruitment

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is ready to take a leadership role and grow within this open and expanding congregation. Certification is not required; laypersons and students are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate should possess these qualifications:

* The ability to work collaboratively with other congregational leaders, staff, parents and volunteers
* Planning, organizational and administrative skills
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Creativity and innovation
* The ability to inspire and plant the seeds of life-long spiritual development
