Position Title: Administrative Assistant, Office of International
Resources
Staff Group: Advocacy and Witness
Reports to: Director, Office of International Resources
Basic Purpose: Provide administrative support to the Office of
International Resources including: Providing website development
assistance; maintaining regular communication with UUA congregations and
international judicatory representatives; resourcing materials for
international ministry; providing first-line response when Director is
unavailable.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Assist Director in the creation, updating, and maintenance of an
effective website for providing international resources to
congregations, including keeping the website up to date.
2. Respond to mail, e-mail, telephone, and fax communications.
3. Arrange logistics for International Advisory Council and
Ambassador Corps meetings.
4. Create and maintain congregational database regarding
international concerns; assist the Director in serving congregations,
which includes creating written and web resources, monitoring e-mail
lists, setting up conference calls, and other assistance as needed.
5. Troubleshoot regular international office functions such as
writing honorific correspondence, arranging for international
connections, responding to international inquiries.
6. Monitor budgets, including reclassifications, offsets; process
expenses and grants.
7. Provide administrative assistance for all international
initiatives, activities and events conducted in coordination with other
UU groups.
8. Maintain office files including emergency funds, special funds,
year-end greetings, and UU groups; maintain office supplies and office
reference materials.
9. Update related directories with international UU and interfaith
group information.
10. Provide scheduling, program planning, logistics, receptions,
meals and events for General Assembly.
Perform additional related duties as requested by Office of
International Resources Director, Director of Advocacy and Witness,
Executive Vice President or President.

This is a part-time Exempt Level 8 position with benefits. Salary range
minimum $17,771 to midpoint $21,885 (full-time equivalent minimum
$31,100 to midpoint $38,300). Individual must be able to work
independently, have excellent diplomacy, organizing, multi-tasking,
customer service, basic math, and communication (both oral and written)
skills. Computer skills must be excellent in MS Word (mail merges), MS
Outlook, and website development software, with good familiarity in MS
Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access. Experience working with people from
