Multiple Positions Open
The new Open Table of Christ UMC is hiring a permanent staff to empower
the ministry of its members. Several positions are available for this
growing multi-racial, multi-national, multi-lingual, and multi-site
community.
We understand our purpose as 1. Introducing people of all ages to
Christ who forgives and delivers from evil's power. 2. Growing together
as disciples, sharing worship, prayer, small group study and fellowship.
3. Acting in God's power to relieve suffering and overcome oppression.
We are seeking part-time or full-time persons who are committed to
Christ, to the practice of social holiness, and who embrace and will
participate in the vision and activities of the Open Table of Christ.
Positions and skill sets desired include:
TRAINER/ORGANIZER experienced in training leaders for replicating small
groups in a church and community setting. Principle responsibility is
facilitate the expansion of small action discipleship groups, in which
all who hunger for social and personal change come together for prayer,
study, fellowship and communal action.
CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR experienced in management (planning, finances,
personnel, property management, systems development and grant writing)
for our multi-site church, which works in shared ministry with two
first-generation ethnic churches.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT experienced in office management, purchasing,
document development and production (word processing and spreadsheet
skills), and scheduling. Responsibilities would include administrative
support for the Pastor and management of routine building usage.
Fluent English plus functional Spanish is preferred for all three
positions. Communication technology skills (internet, sound, video etc.)
are a plus. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Other specific
