Western Lands Specialist

The Western Lands Specialist, reporting to the Director of Eco-Justice
Programs and based in Washington, D.C., will continue the work of the
CouncilÆs Western Lands program. This program aims to increase the
number of churches and church institutions, such as seminaries, engaged
in Western land issues through education and advocacy. He/She is
responsible for developing an appropriate outreach and advocacy campaign
strategy as well as additional educational resources. He/She has
responsibility for developing an active electronic network on Western
land issues and creating and implementing a media outreach strategy. The
position will entail research, writing, organizing, political
strategizing, outreach strategizing, administration, and resource
development.
