Job Title: Asst rector for youth and families
Job Descripton: Parish seeks assistant to focus on the spiritual
formation of youth and families as well as share in the pastoral life of
the parish.

Summary: Full-time position with benefits (ordained or lay).

Goals:
● To counsel and lead the youth and families of St. Peter's in
realizing and applying their Christian values and faith to all aspects
of their lives as our youth begin their journey into adulthood
● To assist the youth of St. Peter's in developing their
relationship with Christ and their peers via fellowship formation,
outreach projects and team building.

Responsibilities:
1. Youth:
● Plan and execute a multifaceted program for youth, which
includes formation, fellowship, mutual ministry, worship and mission.
● Plan and execute a vacation Bible school program annually.
● Grow and expand the youth and family ministry program by
creating a structure that welcomes and educates the large body of
families in the Parish.
● Recruit train and supervise volunteers to assist in the
leadership of this program.
● Increase participation of youth in the full parish life of St.
Peter's.
● Actively build pastoral relationships with the youth and their
families.
● Attend youth activities outside the church community (sports,
school and cultural performances).
● Maintain a constant and effective communication for all parties
involved in the youth ministry by way of phone calls, emails, Myspace,
Facebook, text messaging, bulletins and a monthly newsletter.
2. Parish Life (if ordained or theologically educated)
● Participate in the liturgies and preaching of the Parish.
● Promote youth and family involvement in the liturgical life of
the parish.
● Assist the Rector in regular pastoral visitations particularly
with respect to youth and families.
