Job Title: Part-Time Director of Director of Religious Education
Job Descripton: The Theodore Parker Church (TPC) of West Roxbury, MA, is a lively, creative UU congregation of approximately 90 adults and 40 children seeking a part-time Director of Religious Education (DRE) to lead our program for children and youth. Our dedicated RE Committee and teaching teams will work with the DRE to create a nurturing environment for learning and faith development grounded in Unitarian Universalist principles and lore. Candidate must enjoy engaging with children and teens and bring energy, flexibility and humor. We seek someone with initiative and good organizational skills, who will empower the gifts of others; Candidates with training in liberal religious education and experience leading a UU RE program in a setting similar to Theodore Parker Church strongly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Exel and email is important.

This is a permanent position, approximately 12-15 hours per week, September through June, with flexible hours in the summer. Must work Sundays 9 AM to 1 PM (excepting July & August). Weekday hours are flexible with some evening meetings. The DRE will work collaboratively with the Religious Education Committee and be supervised and supported by the Minister.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and commensurate with UUA standards. The salary is paid monthly July through June. No benefits are provided. The Director of Religious Education will receive 6 Sundays off during the September to June church year.
