Scope of Work: The Coordinator of Student Housing administers all aspects of student housing according to Andover Newton’s student housing policy. She/he will also manage outside facilities requests, and coordinate room reservations in the residence halls and the use of campus guest rooms.

Scope of Work: The Coordinator of Student Housing administers all aspects of student housing according to Andover Newton’s student housing policy. She/he will also manage outside facilities requests, and coordinate room reservations in the residence halls and the use of campus guest rooms.
Responsibilities:
Student Housing:
- Oversee all aspects of assigning Andover Newton’s student housing units to appropriately qualified students
- Initiate appropriate application and contractual agreements with students
- Develop and communicate to students effective and timely information regarding any changes in the housing policy or any other necessary information regarding student housing
- In consultation with the Dean of Students as necessary, interpret the housing policy to students, staff, and faculty
- In consultation with the Dean of Students and Resident Representatives, review and make changes to the housing policy in accordance with established procedures for making changes
- In cooperation with Building and Grounds, inspect all rooms after students vacate them and make appropriate recommendations to B&G personnel
- In consultation with the Dean of Students and the business office, review and establish rental rates for student housing
- In cooperation with the Registrar and Student Billing Office maintain CARS Housing module to ensure proper billing of housing and meal plans.
- Work with Resident Representatives to inspect student housing units with each student resident prior to his/her moving in, noting any deficiencies or concerns that need to be addressed prior to move-in.
- Maintain relationships with administrators at the schools of the Boston Theological Institute and Hebrew College to fill empty spaces in student housing and ensure that non-Andover Newton students living in housing are students in an approved school.

- Schedule and oversee use of three campus guest rooms and the student worker who cleans the rooms.
- Assist the Dean of Students and Community Life in coordinating orientation events for new students
- Oversee all aspects of reserving all function space except the President’s House
- Schedule all external groups and coordinate related billing
- Manage accounts and contracts for long term renters (Prozdor, B’nai Or, Or Yisrael)
- In coordination with Buildings and Grounds and Food Service maintain EMS Reservation System
- Develop and communicate to students, staff, and faculty effective and timely information regarding any changes in the use of space policy or any other necessary information regarding use of campus facilities
- In consultation with the Dean of Students and the business office, review and establish rental rates for campus facilities
- Manage student workers and schedule custodians with Buildings and Grounds to ensure proper coverage for both internal and external events.

- Hire and oversee three student workers for the mailroom
- Maintain listing of campus box assignments, ensuring that all offices have an up to date list of assignments.
- Ensure that the mailroom and all campus offices have forwarding addresses for students moving off campus
- Work with appropriate committees and offices as assigned or as needed
- Attend all Commencement Committee meetings; manage contracts with outside vendors for Commencement related events
- Provide other administrative assistance to the Dean as needed and as time permits
- B.A. or similar degree
- Demonstrated understanding of “church culture”
- Strong interpersonal and administrative skills, with a particular strength in customer service
- Demonstrated computer skills including PC/business applications such as Word and Excel databases
- Experience with managing diverse and challenging customers in a fast-paced environment
