Job Descripton: Arlington, Pleasant Street Congregational Church,
United Church of
Christ is seeking a creative and enthusiastic person of faith from a
progressive Christian background to serve as a Lead Teacher and
Children's Chapel Worship Leader.
Responsibilities of this position include
● Nurture children's spiritual growth and transformation in
cooperation with their parents/ guardians, and the rest of the church
community.
● Plan Sunday morning sessions in cooperation with other members
of your teaching team, using an established curriculum.
● Lead Sunday morning sessions in one of three age based
classrooms, and once monthly in an all-ages gathering of Children's
Chapel.
● Help fulfill the Christian Education Committee's overall goals
and objectives.
Additional skills include
● Commitment to children's spiritual growth, and ability to see
the inherent worth and dignity of every child.
● Ability to work as a part of a teaching team.

This is a part time, salaried position of approximately five hours per
week, thirty weeks per year. The pay for this position for the
2008-2009 Sunday School Year is $3750, with no benefits.
The Lead Teacher would have the summer and several "all-ages" Sundays
off.
