Basic Purpose: To support and implement programs and resources of
religious growth for Unitarian Universalist youth, support the Youth
Ministry implementation process, and provide consultation to Unitarian
Universalist Association (UUA) districts and congregations regarding
youth programs.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Manages the Chrysalis Training Program in collaboration with
other UUA staff and with the support of the Youth Ministry Office
Administrator.
2. Under the direction of the Youth Ministry Office Director,
supports the Youth Ministry implementation process.
3. Under the direction of the Youth Ministry Office Director,
maintains and updates the Youth Ministry Website, a crucial
communication medium for information about the Youth Ministry
implementation process.
4. Acts as a consultant regarding youth programs to Unitarian
Universalists in congregations, districts, and regions.
5. Collaborates with Lifespan Faith Development staff to identify
resource priorities for youth programming.
6. Supervises Youth Ministry Office part-time interns and volunteers
as appropriate.
7. Anti-oppression
● Helps develop programming and resources to support Youth of
Color;
● Helps develop programming and resources to support lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, and queer and questioning youth;
● Works on resources to fight all forms of oppression.
8. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested by supervisor,
the Director of Lifespan Faith Development, the Treasurer, the Executive
Vice President, or the President.
This is a one-year, time-limited, exempt Grade 9 position (entry
$34,200; midpoint $42,300). The ideal candidate must have excellent
organizational skills, proficiency in MS Windows and in the programs
contained within the Microsoft Office Suite, and community organizing or
youth leadership experience.
