Job Title: Christian Education Director Hartford Area
Job Descripton: We need someone who loves to teach, teach, teach and tell stories, stories, stories! You are responsible for four programs: (1) Spirit Club - after-school home-based clubs where we tell bible stories, hero stories, sing songs, and play games; (2) Familytime - theatrical worship service just for kids; you would be the MC and substitute preacher; (3) Churchskill - skill building workshop during adult sermon for all elementary children; and (4) Nursery - supervise the Director. You will edit curriculum and add your own ideas and do lots of teaching. Must have: engaging communication and storytelling skills, love for children, personal relationship with God based on teachings of Jesus, godly lifestyle, ability to recruit/train other teachers, good organizational skills, and strong work ethic. A plus if you have any musical or theatrical skills. Report directly to Pastor. You can work from your home, at church on Sundays (960 Main Street, Hartford), and in Spirit !
Club host homes (mostly Glastonbury and West Hartford). One day per week work in church office (Farmington). Approximately 30 hours per week. More about church at www.riverfrontfamilychurch.com.
