Job Descripton: Friends Meeting at Cambridge seeks a part-time Youth
Programs Coordinator to work with Junior and Senior High students for
the 2009-2010 academic year, with probable continuation through the
following academic year. Duties include organizing social, service and
worship activities, including weekend retreats, with youth and adults;
ensuring compliance with the Meeting's policies on Child Abuse
Prevention and Response; outreach and maintaining contact with the
youth; and participating in relevant committee meetings and other
activities.
The Youth Programs Coordinator works with the Youth Programs Committee
to fulfill its mission:
To promote a sense of community among the Meeting's Junior and Senior
High students, we wish to offer opportunities for service, fun and
spiritual enrichment. We intend to coordinate our efforts with the
First Day School teachers and First Day School Committee, so that
together we can enrich the students' understanding and commitment to
Quaker principles and practice.
The Youth Programs Coordinator is paid hourly ($16/hour) for an
estimated 250 hours of work during the academic year. The Youth
Programs Coordinator will report to the First Day School Coordinator.
