New Position Description:
Church desires a pastor who wants to see God work in his/her life and
the life of the church. Pastor needs to be a people lover who can
communicate his love and compassion. He/she needs to help the church
grow in its relationship to Jesus Christ and the members in their love
and respect for one another. Pastor needs to be a strong leader and
willing to work with the leadership on developing and implementing
vision and strategic plans for growth. Person must be willing to
participate with other churches in our ABC VT/NH region and willing to
communicate with other churches in our community. The church is
particularly interested in talking with bi-vocational or second career
people.

Church Description:
We are an American Baptist Church with an average Sunday attendance of
65 people located in a community of 9000. We desire to grow deeper in
our relationships with one another and in relationship to our Lord
Jesus Christ. The church has taken steps to streamline its governance,
has
targeted young adults and families, and is transitioning from a
traditional worship style to blended. The congregation has just
undertaken a capital fund raising project to upgrade its audio visual
equipment, and new equipment is presently being installed. The church
is multigenerational, and is diverse socially, economically, and
theologically. It has a history of being a leader in the ABC VT/NH
region, and has received awards for its missionary giving. It has
also sent out 2 mission teams in the last 10 years. The church has
also
ranked near the top percentile in the region in its pastoral
remuneration package. Members of the congregation are actively
involved in prison ministry, represent us on the local church council,
and
participate in ecumenical services.

Sunday School Teacher

Payson Park Church is seeking two energetic and creative persons of
faith to teach Sunday School. This 3+ hour week position would work well
with a mature student who is good at planning, well organized and enjoys
working with children. It also includes working closely with the
Director of Christian Education.
Our Children’s Ministry Program is intentional in fulfilling the
baptismal vows we make as a congregation to children, birth through high
school. We celebrate our children and understand that they have a
variety of talents, interests and abilities. We use the Potter’s
Workshop Curriculum and the Workshop Rotation Model, a
multi-dimensional, hands- on way to learn and experience Bible stories
from pre-school to grade seven. Upper grades may have an age appropriate
separate class.
Pay is negotiable and competitive considering experience,
ambition and enthusiasm. The position runs from September through May
with occasional Sunday’s off. Payson Park Church is conveniently
located on a bus route. We observe a Safe Church Policy and CORI reviews
are required in order to insure the comfort and safety of every child.

Friends Camp Employment

Friends Camp Employment

Friends Camp is looking for a few counselors for next summer. You can

Urban Ministry Technology Internships

Urban Ministry Internships

Starting January 2007

TechMission assists organizations in using technology in urban ministry
to help address injustice and develop at-risk communities. This spring
through our TechMission Corps AmeriCorps program, we are offering one
year full-time internships at wonderful urban ministries in the greater
Boston area. The following are available:

* After School Program Coordinator Positions
This AmeriCorps position will assist with a k-8th grade after school
program based in a church or faith-based organization doing tutoring,
mentoring, providing basic technology activities, coordinating
volunteers and providing overall support.
* Teen Program Coordinator Positions
This AmeriCorps position will assist with a teen program based in a
church or faith-based organization doing tutoring, mentoring, college
prep, assisting with web-based academic enrichment elements, conducting
community & parent outreach, assisting with community and school
partnerships, planning college visits and workshops as directed,
coordinating volunteers and providing overall support.
* Technology Program Coordinator Positions
This AmeriCorps position will assist with a technology program based in
a church or faith-based organization through monitoring computer lab,
teaching basic computer classes, installing software and hardware, data
tracking, assisting with basic tech support, assisting with community
and school partnerships, coordinating volunteers and providing overall
support for the program.
* Volunteer Coordinator Positions
This AmeriCorps position will assist with volunteer and work-study
student recruitment and coordination for programs based in churches and
faith-based organizations. Duties may include recruiting and placing
volunteers and work-studies at sites, assisting with monitoring, data
tracking and providing overall support in volunteer management. Members
may assist in other program areas as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
* Applicants for this program must be at least 18 years old * must have
a high school degree or equivalent (GED) * must be a U.S. citizen, U.S.
national or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States *
specific qualifications vary by position but generally applicants should
have good people skills, ability to work with children and have a desire
to learn * applicants with experience working with Black and Latino
communities or non-profit community/faith-based organizations are
strongly encouraged to apply * familiarity with Microsoft Word and the
Internet is desired * accepted applicants must follow all federal and
AmeriCorps guidelines with respect to faith during official AmeriCorps
hours.

POSITION ANNOUCEMENT

Position:
Associate Registrar, Office of the Registrar Full-time position, 35 hours per week, some evenings may be required during special events.

Salary:
$40,000 (based on skills and experience), excellent benefits included.

Summary:
The Assistant Registrar performs professional duties to assist the Registrar in accomplishing the goals of the office, including student record maintenance; database implementation and monitoring; information collection and distribution; planning, execution and evaluation of student services; policy monitoring; and enrollment management.

Description:
Manages day-to-day operations and coordinates monthly task calendar for the Registrar’s Office, including troubleshooting student and staff needs, answering all general electronic communication, advising students regarding academic requirements and seminary policy, and supervising Records & Registration Coordinator; creates, maintains and distributes reports using ODBC database tools; directs most aspects of annual graduation process, including maintenance of website; manages faculty advisor assignments, grade collection and distribution; assists with degree audits; responsible for aspects of schedule set-up and maintenance for each semester; provides Seminary with annual FERPA compliance training; maintains storage and security upkeep; represents Registrar’s Office on various campus committees; and executes general administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
Independent self-starter with a capacity for database management and facility with current PC applications, including ODBC database reporting tools (Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access, in particular); willingness and aptitude to learn new technology; excellent people skills with an enthusiasm for front-line work; proven record of organizational skills; ability to multi-task; comfort with and compulsive about attention to detail. Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of work experience at a college or university expected. Master’s Degree in Higher Education or relevant field strongly preferred.

Youth Ministry

Position Available: Youth Ministry

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Holliston, is looking for a person to share in teaching J2A in the Journey to Adulthood program and to assist in coordinating the youth program for 8th - 10th graders.

Our parish has a strong Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program through age 11 and has recently launched Rite-13 for 6th and 7th graders. The Rite 13 program includes youth group activities for that age group and there is also an 8th-12th grade youth group. We are a growing parish with a large percentage of children and young people. Average Sunday attendance is 100 - 120.

We are looking for a warm, energetic, creative person with enthusiasm for young people. The candidate should be familiar with the Bible and Christian practice. Familiarity with the Episcopal Church is desirable but not required.

The position is currently 5-8 hours/week and begins in January 2007. We hope to expand this to a 10 hours/week position in September 2007.
