POSITION SUMMARY:
The American Cancer Society Patient Services Center Intern will be
exposed to and participate in the operations of the New England Division
Patient Services Center. The Services Center is responsible for ensuring

Membership Coordinator at First Parish in Brookline:
Quarter-time position (10 hrs/week) at $8250 annual salary

The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for helping newcomers
and members get and stay connected to the church community. This
position reports to the Minister and will partner with the Membership
Committee, Church Administrator and Director of Religious Education.
This person will implement best practices to increase our success rate
of retaining visitors and ultimately increasing membership.

High level overview of job duties:
Welcoming Visitors
● Coordinating volunteers who welcome, follow up, and mentor

time and returning visitors

Outreach and Education

● Update and create appropriate new brochures to inform people
about First Parish
● Implement "Bring a Friend" Sunday or other appropriate

Support Membership Committee
● Consult with Membership Committee chair about agenda for
meetings

The CYF will utilize the spiritual gifts of leadership and
administration, work with pastors, staff, and volunteers at Prince of
Peace to provide programs and educational opportunities which empower

Responsibilities and Duties

● Lead the development and implementation of Prince of Peace CYF
ministries and programs, designated by the pastors and congregation, in
the areas designated below.
● Collaboration with pastors, staff, and church leadership.
● Recruit, train, and manage teachers, staff, and volunteers for
the designated programs.
● Develop and manage budget requirements for these programs.
● Assess curriculum needs, evaluate, and select best products
available to meet the objectives of Prince of Peace CYF ministries.
● Coordinate with Director of Music Ministries in support of
children's music and programs.
● Assess and plan facility requirements for all CYF programs.
● Provide regular reports and evaluations of CYF programs to the

● Author grant proposals to obtain external funding of CYF
ministry programs as required.
● Enhancement of current ministries and/or development of new
ministries.
