Hearts Ablaze

3:00 pm

June 22 -25 2008

Featuring:
Marty Haugen and Susan Briehl

The Institute is about growing creatively, spiritually, and intellectually; building community; receiving fresh perspective and inspiration to live out our call.  It gathers pastors and lay people, seminarians and artists, musicians and poets, who desire to live into a deeper communion in worship and witness to the living Christ through expanding their spirits and their horizons, and taking on the crises and opportunities of faith and art in our times.

The structure of the Institute offers a blend of worship, morning keynote presentations by Marty Haugen and Susan Briehl, time for questions and small group discussion, afternoon workshops, and events, all focused on renewing the vitality, beauty, and faithfulness of worship.

The morning keynotes will look back at the earliest roots of Christian worship; consider the current reality of worship in U.S. culture today; and offer a vision of how worship can be relevant, life-giving and prophetically challenging to the future of the world.
