Asking difficult questions before the 2012 election
In addition to this year’s hotly contested presidential race and the closely watched Senate race in Massachusetts, voters in the Commonwealth will also be asked to vote on death-with-dignity legislation.
Hebrew College and Andover Newton will present a panel discussion titled “Death with Dignity?: A Public Conversation on Massachusetts Ballot Question 2” starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in Berensen Hall at Hebrew College.
The event will be moderated by Dr. Lisa Soleymani Lehmann, director of the Center for Bioethics and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. The panel includes Dr. M.T. Davila, assistant professor of Christian Ethics at Andover Newton Theological School, and rabbi Dr. Terry R. Bard, managing editor of the Journal of Pastoral Care Publications Inc.
