Retrieving Bonhoeffer: The Actual Meaning of the Shoah for Christians

imageFirst in the Hartman Lecture Series. Award-winning author, historian and journalist James Carroll (pictured) explores the life and work of acclaimed Christian theologian and Nazi resister Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his relevance to Christian-Jewish dialogue and action today. Carroll, distinguished scholar-in-residence at Suffolk University and a columnist for the Boston Globe, studied with Rabbi David Hartman in the United States and Israel.

Tickets are $10 or $25 for the series. Students are admitted free with a valid student ID.

The Hartman Lecture Series, cosponsored by Hebrew College and the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, is dedicated to the memory of Rabbi David Hartman. Carroll’s lecture is also sponsored by Andover Newton Theological School.
