The Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ announces a three-part series of events for middler or senior seminarians, to provide valuable information for navigating the UCC’s Search and Call process. No matter where a seminarian is currently in Discernment or where he or she will be circulating a Profile, these sessions will be of help.
- Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.: “Preparing for the Search Process” focuses on writing a Ministerial Profile to get an interview and navigating the UCC Search and Call Network.
- Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.: “Engaging the Search” looks at negotiations and compensation, interviewing, pension, and discerning a match.
- Saturday, March 15, 2014, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.: “Getting a Good Start” will help attendees prepare for the first years and the first call.
All events will be held at the Congregational Church of Weston, 130 Newton St., in Weston, Mass., and are endorsed by the Clergy Leadership Development Council. The cost is $25 per event, which includes breakfast at each sessions, lunch at the January meeting, and materials.
