Eat, drink, be merry, and be moved at a special evening exploring our relationship to the sacred texts of Judaism and Islam. Gather at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, for “Sacred Text on Our Tongues,” an event featuring spoken-word performances and presentations by Rosabel Martin-Ross on tajweed, the art of reciting the Qu’ran, and Hazzan Linda Sue Sohn on cantillation, the art of chanting the tanakh (Hebrew Bible).
