Andover Newton will celebrate the start of a new academic year on Wednesday, Sept. 18, with Fall Convocation events marking the 206th year of our school. Our own President Nick Carter will deliver a convocation address titled “The Wings of the Morning and the Grace of Twilight,” opening his 10th and final year as our school’s president.

Convocation is an opportunity to celebrate Andover Newton’s past, present, and future. And this year’s gathering is particularly special. Come celebrate with Dr. Carter!

A community picnic on the quadrangle will begin at 11:45 a.m., and the year’s first worship service—a great opportunity to meet new Assistant Professor of Preaching and Worship and Wilson Chapel Director Adam Hearlson—will be held at 1 p.m. in Wilson Chapel.
