The Rev. Dr. Paul Adkins will be honored Feb. 1, 2013, for decades of service as a United Church of Christ minister and teacher. Dr. Adkins will receive the Lifetime Achievement in Ministerial Leadership Award at the sold-out 2013 Woodbury Leadership Workshop, an all-day event at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Mass.

Dr. Adkins graduated from Andover Newton with his Master of Divinity degree in 1971 and earned his Doctor of Ministry in 1978. He has played an active role in the work of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ, serving on many committees and task forces, including a term as chair of the conference Board of Directors.
