The Jazz Factory Plays Dec. 4 Fundraiser for Andover Newton

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

7:59 PM

Location: Upper Noyes Hall

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Dec. 4, when The Jazz Factory under the leadership of David Rasmussen will present a big band concert from 8-10:30 p.m. in Upper Noyes Hall.

Tickets are free for Andover Newton students, $15 for general admission, $10 for students elsewhere, and may be purchased at the door. All proceeds will benefit Andover Newton.

The night’s program will include two 45-minute sets of music and a 30-minute closing set, with 15-minute breaks between sets. Refreshments will be available, and there will be space for dancing!

Special thanks go to first-year Andover Newton student Jeanne G. Pocius Dorismond, who plays trumpet in The Jazz Factory and is director of Instrumental Change, a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation dedicated to musically enriched educational environments within economically challenged areas, beginning with the Caribbean nation of Haiti.
