Jonathan Edwards Society 2017 Meeting

The Jonathan Edwards Society, Andover Newton's honors society, will meet to welcome new members from the class of 2017. All alumni/ae who are members of the society are welcome.

AAAS "Science for Seminaries" Capstone Event

Category: 

Join Andover Newton Theological School for a one-day conference on trauma, the mind, and the ministry of healing, sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Discussion will focus on the science surrounding the effects of trauma on the brain and the body in conjunction with the ministry of healing. The day will include presentations, small group and roundtable discussions, breakfast, lunch, and a reception with alumni/ae participating in the Andover Newton Theological School Reunion.

For student or alumni/ae free registration for AAAS event only, please contact aaas.event@ants.edu. Admission for other participants is $25. Registration is required to attend.

Please note: The admission for this event has changed from $50 to $25. If you registered for only the AAAS event before Aug. 24, 2016, please send an email to the coordinators listed above, and the difference will be refunded to you. This cost change does not impact participants who will be attending any portion of the Andover Newton Reunion events Thursday evening or Friday.

Also: The AAAS-only admission fee of $25 (or free for alumni/ae and students) only includes events from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday. Events later in the day or week are part of the larger Andover Newton Fall 2016 event (see schedule).

Parking is available behind Wilson Chapel and at Hebrew College.

All* ANTS registrations must be completed online at the Online Student Portal.

If you cannot complete registration online, paper registration forms may be picked up in the Registrar’s Office.

Priority registration, especially for Seniors, cannot be guaranteed when using paper registration forms.

†Seniors are designated by # credits earned as follows:

MA >= 24, MDiv >= 57, STM >= 12, DMin >= 15

Registration dates are as follows:

  • July 6 - Aug. 26: Seniors Registration
  • July 13 - Aug. 26: Registration for all other students

Patriots Day

Category: 

Andover Newton offices will be closed Monday, April 18, for Patriots Day. Classes will meet in regular session, and the Franklin Trask Library will be open for normal hours. Check with the Chartwells dining hall about hours of operation.

Spring Break

Category: 

Andover Newton offices will be open for normal business hours from Monday, March 28, through Friday, April 1, but the school will be on Spring Break, with no classes in session and no dining service. Check with the Franklin Trask Library for hours of operation.

Holy Week

Category: 

Andover Newton offices will be closed on Thursday, March 24, and Friday, March 25, and no classes will meet on those days. The Franklin Trask Library will be open on Maundy Thursday (March 24) from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and then will be closed through Easter Sunday (March 27). Check with the Chartwells dining hall on hours of service during Holy Week.

Andover Newton offices will reopen Monday, March 28, but the school will be on Spring Break the week of March 28 - April 1, with no classes in session and no dining service. Check with the Franklin Trask Library for hours of operation.

Presidents Day

Category: 

Federal Presidents Day holiday. Andover Newton offices will be closed, but classes will meet and the Franklin Trask Library will be open. Check with Chartwells dining hall about hours of operation.

Category: 

First day of classes for Spring 2016 semester. Franklin Trask Library and Chartwells dining hall on normal hours.

Winterim Term 2

Category: 

Winter Term Session 2: Jan. 11-22, 2016. Drop/add forms deadline is first day of class. Courses do not meet on weekend, unless by arrangement with professor, and the school is closed Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of the federal Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
