The Reverend Dr. Bruce P. MacLeod graduated from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio with a BA in Psychology and a provisional secondary teaching certificate. He taught reading and study skills for 2 years before attending seminary.
He earned Master of Divinity (1983) and Doctor of Ministry (2005) degrees from Andover Newton Theological School. His D. Min. project was titled "Articulating Their Faith: Valuing Small Group Theological Reflection in the Local Church".
He was ordained by the Essex Association (Massachusetts) of the United Church of Christ in 1985, serving two called positions in 12 years. He took the Interim Ministry Network’s training program in 2001 - 2002, and currently serves in his sixth intentional interim pastorate. He has received training by the Massachusetts Conference of the UCC as a Church Vitality Coach.
Dr. MacLeod has been involved with the Field Education program at Andover Newton Theological School since 1997 as a supervisor and as a facilitator for small groups of field education students engaged in P3 integrative work.
Since 1992, he has participated in four Border-Crossing Immersion travel seminars. These include two with the Plowshares Institute (Simsbury, Connecticut) - to South Africa and to China; South India (through Andover Newton); and Israel.
