Biography:

In 2002 Jeff Jones began serving as Coordinator of E-Learning and an adjunct faculty member. In 2005 his duties were expanded to include the development of the school’s distance learning program for continuing education for clergy and courses for laity. In 2007 he was appointed to the faculty and now serves as Associate Professor of Ministerial Leadership. In addition to his other responsibilites he is also responsible for Andover Newton’s annual Woodbury Leadership Workshop, which features prominent religious and secular scholars and practitioners. In keeping with his commitment to the ministry and renewal of the local congregation he also serves as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Plymouth, MA.

Jeff has previously been a pastor in New York and New Jersey and a member of the national staff of the American Baptist Churches, USA. He is the author of Heart, Mind and Strength: Theory and Practice for Congregational Leadership; Traveling Together: A Guide for Disciple-Forming Congregations, and Parenting with Love and Laughter: Finding God in Family Life, as well as numerous books on youth ministry and Baptist history and principles. He is a frequent speaker at denominational events and consultant with congregations, focusing on issues of discipleship and leadership in a postmodern, post-Christendom world.
