Getting Ready to GoMembers of the Andover Newton community work together in service to the school and community on this day. No daytime classes, offices closed. Check with Chartwells dining service and Franklin Trask Library for availability.

9:15 am  Keynote Speaker, Rev. Rahsaan Hall, Esq., Director, Racial Justice Program at American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, and Associate Minister of the St. Paul AME Church of Cambridge MA

10:15 am  Breakout Sessions – Conversations around the All Campus Book, Citizen: An American Lyric, by Claudia Rankine--facilitated by ANTS faculty

12:00 noon  Community Lunch - Cafeteria (Students, faculty, and staff will need to grab a bag lunch to take with them as they travel to an off-campus site for Community Service)

1:00 – 4:00 pm   Community Service at designated partner sites with various off-campus religious and non-profit organizations

All students are required to “register for Community Day as a non-credit requirement through the Registrar.”

Our campus-wide observance of Community Day is a very significant component of our combined efforts in sustaining a Beloved Community.

Exceptions: Co-op M.Div. students & D.Min. students undertaking coursework through an intensive/online cohort are excused from Community Day
