Understanding that our student body has differing housing needs based on marital status, children and a wide range of personal preferences, Andover Newton has reserved five residence buildings to accommodate and be sensitive to as many of these factors as possible.  Campus housing options include dormitory style rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, studio apartments for single occupancy, and one and two bedroom apartments for families and couples. Andover Newton is pleased to be able to provide housing to its students to the extent that it is available. Full-time housing is offered to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Part-time Resident and Commuter Housing

Dormitory rooms in Appleton-Chase House and Farwell Hall are available for Part-time Resident (PTR) housing. Students may reserve a rooms for one, two, or three nights a week during the Fall and Spring semesters or on a nightly basis during the Winterim and Summer sessions.  PTRs apply for housing as a part of each semester’s online registration. Students wishing to make changes to their PTR housing after registration has ended should contact the Student Housing Office by emailing .

Boston Theological Institute and Hebrew College Housing on the Andover Newton Campus

After all Andover Newton students are housed, campus housing will be offered to students attending a member school of the Boston Theological Institute as a theology student or Hebrew College students. Under some circumstances students attending non-BTI/HC schools may be allowed to live in ANTS housing.  Students wishing to apply for housing should download, complete and return the following application: Non-ANTS Student Housing Application (PDF)

Note: Pets are not allowed in student residences. Special exceptions will be made for service animals required to accommodate disabled students under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

All residence halls are non-smoking. There are designated smoking areas near each of the halls.
