May 11: Important Updates

GOOD NEWS --- ROOM FOR ALL!

Registrations continue to pour in for our "Celebrating the Beloved Community" event on May 11. These are coming at such a rate that we are stepping out in faith and renting a tent. We will all be seated together. No overflow room. We now anticipate more than 350 in attendance. If you have friends who haven’t registered, please encourage them to do so immediately. The program will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.

LUNCH RESERVATIONS

Lunch reservations are open until May 8. If you wish to register for lunch please do so by emailing Rosemary Turano. The cost of sandwich and drink is $10 (cash and check only) the day of event. You will register and receive your lunch in the Trask building. The Lunch is 12-1:15 to accommodate more people and those who wish to be in the pick up choir. The reception at 4:30 p.m. will include cookies, mini pastries, and drinks. If it is a beautiful day, you may want to bring a blanket to sit on the lawn.

PICKING UP PROGRAMS AND NAME TAGS

If you are not coming to lunch, registration will be at the entrance of the tent, where you will get a name tag and program.

PARKING

Because of the high number of registrants, we encourage you to carpool if at all possible due to the parking and traffic challenges! There will be parking at Hebrew College in addition to ANTS, but it will be tight.

PICK-UP CHOIR

If you wish to be in the pick-up choir for worship, rehearsal will be with Burns Stansfield in the tent at 12:30 p.m.

LIBRARY BOOK SALE

Note that the library *stacks* will not be open for the sale of books until May 19. However, thousands of already withdrawn books and antiquarian titles will be available for sale on May 11. Please bring cash or checks to facilitate purchases. Questions? Contact Nancy Lois.

Selected pieces of artwork in the Trask building will be available for purchase. Contact Janeen Hansen with any questions.

CONSTRUCTION

Please be aware that there will be construction going on in the vicinity of the celebration. Benchmark is creating a new facility for memory care by remodeling and adding to Farwell Hall. This decision was made before the ANTS campus was sold to the current owner.

LIVE STREAMING

We are working on the logistics of live streaming the whole afternoon under the tent for those unable to be physically present. Watch the websites and Facebook for updates.

We pray, and hope you will too, that this day will be a blessing for all who attend as we gather to remember, to honor, and to bless all that has been and will be!
