Andover Newton Opens 201st Academic Year

The Board of Trustees met, an all school picnic was held (with the Alumni/ae Association scooping ice cream for dessert!).  At 1:00PM a formal academic procession drew everyone to Wilson Chapel for the traditional Convocation Service which featured the School’s three new faculty members: Dr. Maria Theresa Davila, Dr. Mary Luti, and Dr. Simon Lee. President Nick Carter preached on “Ministry in the Borderlands.” (PDF) and Rev. Burns Stanfield led the ANTS Community Choir in an original piece written for President Carter’s sermon theme. More than 225 were in attendance.
