“I kind of spilled blood all over this project,” Amy Speace says of her new album The Killer In Me, which marks a quantum creative leap from the artist’s 2006 breakthrough effort Songs For Bright Street.
While the earlier release won her widespread critical acclaim and a loyal international fan base, The Killer In Me finds the New York-based singer/songwriter forging into deeper, darker lyrical and musical terrain, borne largely out of relationships gone wrong, then right and wrong again.
“This August, Speace released her second album on the label, Killer in Me, its message a resolutely hopeful take on heartache and loss, her beautiful lyrics spun with a soulful, husky voice that lilts like a country sweetheart but mourns like Leonard Cohen.” – Paste Magazine
“After a lifetime in music, some of my biggest thrills come from a loud 'n' twisted or softly mesmerizing remake — [like Amy Speace's cover of Blondie’s “Dreaming”].“ – John James, Esquire Magazine

Dick Solberg, Sun Mountain Fiddler
Born in New York City, Dick Solberg was trained classically on the piano and the violin, but when he encountered "fiddling" in styles like old-timey, bluegrass, Celtic, and Cajun, he was hooked. Solberg, whose Norwegian name means "sun mountain," has been performing for more than thirty years, playing every imaginable venue from college fraternities to public radio and television concerts, from waterfront bars to elementary schools, from burials at sea to a birthday party for six ladies over 100 years old.
The fiddler recorded four LPs in the early years, now five CDs. He lives in an old wooden Grange Hall in central New York State, and is currently working on a musical about Norwegian immigrants on the Erie Canal in 1826, the year the canal opened.
