Health Insurance
Massachusetts requires all institutions of higher education to ensure that their full-time and 3/4-time students are enrolled in a qualifying student health insurance plan or in another program that provides comparable coverage.
To comply with this law, the School currently offers insurance through Student Resources, a division of the MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company. Any student enrolled for nine credit hours or more per semester must complete an Enrollment/Waiver card, which either serves as the enrollment form for the student insurance plan or certifies that the student is already enrolled in an equivalent program.
Andover Newton does not provide an infirmary or employ resident medical personnel. For both residents and commuters, health care is an individual responsibility.
